Bursar's Frequently Asked Questions
What is the 'Bursar'?
The Bursar is the Business Office liaison for all matters related to student accounts, making payments to the college, and receiving refunds.
What is my 'Estimated Bill'?
The college mails you the bill with the anticipated charges you will be responsible for the upcoming semester. This occurs before any financial aid is received by the college and before we 'bill' the charges so you can make your initial payment and plan for your remaining balance owed to the college.
What is the Next Step after I receive my 'Estimated Bill'?
Go to the College Portal and make a payment using the online credit card process through PayPal.
What is my balance?
This amount appears on the last line of the 'Account Statement Estimated'
Is the Estimated Tuition statement for the whole year or one semester?
The estimate shows one semester at a time.
Have you received my deposits?
Credit will appear as Current Balance on 'Account Statement Estimated'.
What is the difference between Damage Deposit & Housing Deposit?
The Damage Deposit will be charged at the same time your housing costs are charged to your Student Account. When your check out is completed, the Damage Deposit will be credited to your account less any charges. The Housing Deposit is required to hold a room for you for the upcoming semester. This deposit is credited to your billing statement for that semester.
Does Housing include meal plan and if so how many meals?
Yes, 19 meals per week for the traditional dorms and 14 meals per week for an apartment.
Can we choose different meal plan options?
The college has selected these plans based on the housing unit the student is in and typical patterns for those residences.
Can students charge textbooks to their student account?
Yes, if they have a credit balance on their account, or if a credit is anticipated from Financial Aid awards.
Where do I go to secure 'on campus' employment?
There is a Moodle page regarding campus jobs that explains the program.
When are refunds processed from Financial Aid?
An e-mail will be sent about two weeks after refunds are received notifying students when checks are available. Checks can be picked up in the Business Office.
Where can I get the 1098T form for Federal Taxes?
A 1098T form is available on your Student Portal in January each year.
