Typical Schedule: This is a full time faculty position. All classes will be conducted on campus in a college classroom only.
Purpose: The education department prepares teachers to transform the lives of their future students. The Teacher Education Program at Holy Cross offers a dual license program in Elementary Education and in English as a New Language (ENL).
Essential Job Duties
- Teach two or more elementary content methods courses
- Supervision of practicum and student teaching clinical experiences
- Serve as liaison between Holy Cross College and field experience schools
- Management of student teaching process
- Advisement of undergraduate students
Minimum Education, Skills, and Ability
- Master's Degree from an accredited University in Elementary Education or in Curriculum & Instruction with an elementary emphasis (Doctorate or ABD status preferred)
- Documented three (3) years of K-6 teaching experience (may include U.S. schools abroad)
- Reading Specialist and /or English Language educator experience preferred
- Evidence of commitment to working with diverse populations and implementing culturally responsive teaching
- Knowledge of standards and research-based curriculum and instruction in K-6 education
- Experience in technology instruction

Head Coach - Baseball
Department: Athletic Department
Reports to Supervisor: Director of Athletics
FLSA: Exempt
Holy Cross College is a Catholic, four-year, co-educational, liberal arts institution located in Notre Dame, Indiana. With a 13:1 student to faculty ratio, students find personal attention from professors who care about their success. The Holy Cross community helps students to develop the knowledge, skills, and character to meet their professional goals and to live lives of purpose and integrity.
Typical Schedule: Part time as needed. Typical for this position is evenings, and weekends according to the practice and game schedule of the student athletes.
Rate of Pay: $5,000 per annum, paid semi monthly according to the standard pay schedule of the school.
Purpose: The selected candidate will insure the team operates and conducts themselves within the ideals and goals set forth by Holy Cross College and the rules and regulations of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC).
Essential Job Duties
- Instructing/coaching student athletes
- Coordinating team practice sessions
- Yearly game scheduling
- Home game itineraries and away trips
- Arranging team transportation
- Developing and managing a team budget
- Order equipment as needed to serve the needs of the program
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of uniforms and equipment
- Promoting the men's baseball program in the college and community
- Promoting the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program; Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership, Sportsmanship
- Recruiting quality students as athletes
- Developing the leadership of assistant coaches, and captains
- Serving as an example of faith based leadership while demanding appropriate conduct at all times from athletes.
Minimum Education, Skills, and Ability
- Bachelors Degree
- Previous Coaching and/or athletic experience
- Knowledge and experience using email and administrative websites
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
- Strong organizational and networking skills.
- Ability to work flexible work schedule including, evenings, and weekends as may be necessary to serve the needs of the team.
- Highly motive person who is task oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, in a team atmosphere, and with a minimum of direct supervision.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.

Liturgical Music and Chapel Choir Coordinator

Holy Cross College is a Catholic, four-year, co-educational, liberal arts institution located in Notre Dame, Indiana. With a 13:1 student to faculty ratio, students find personal attention from professors who care about their success. The Holy Cross community helps students to develop the knowledge, skills, and character to meet their professional goals and to live lives of purpose and integrity.
Typical Schedule: Part time as needed for liturgical music and chapel choir.
Rate of Pay: $2,500 per 16 week semester, Fall and Spring Annually
Adjunct Status: This is not a permanent position with the college. Renewal from semester to semester is conditional based on the needs of Campus Ministry.
Purpose: The Liturgical Music and Chapel Choir Coordinator is responsible for all liturgical music at Holy Cross College in addition to recruitment and direction of choir members for a one credit class.
Essential Job Duties
- Music for Sunday Liturgies (8:00 pm College Mass) and other special days as assigned (Holy Days, Feast Days, opening school Mass, and Baccalaureate Mass).
- Recruitment and direction of choir members which will involve active promotion in order to grow interest and membership in the choir
- Preparation and copying of music
- Conduct weekly choir practice
Minimum Education, Skills, and Ability
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience with Catholic liturgical music required
- Proficient in piano and organ
- Must be open to a flexible schedule
- Ability to work under the direction of the Director of Campus Ministry in selection of music
