Find Books

Your professor may want you to find a book for your class ...  Maybe you are working on a research paper ...  Or you would like to find a good book to read.   Check out the following resources for finding books at our library and beyond ...

Online catalog (Aleph) -  Our library catalog, plus the catalogs of the Michiana Academic Library Consortium (Holy Cross, Bethel, Saint Mary's and Notre Dame).

NetLibrary  - The full-text, searchable catalog of books we have access to online through Netlibrary. Check it out!

WorldCat  - Can't find a book in our libray? Or even at Notre Dame, St. Mary's or Bethel?  WorldCat gives you access to the catalogs of over 10,000 libraries.  If you find an item you want, we can usually borrow it for you through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) - come see us if you have questions about using the database, or if you find material you would like to borrow.

St. Joseph County Public Library - our local public library. You can visit here yourself, or we can borrow material for you through Interlibrary Loan.

Subject guide to books - this is a wonderfully handy subject guide based on the Dewey Decimal System, the type of call number we use here at McKenna Library.
